The Walker Fireworks Display Terms & Conditions

Terms and Conditions

The Walker Ground Fireworks Display is subject to the following terms and conditions:

  • Event Timings - Gates open at 5pm Firework Display starts at 7.30pm.

  • Tickets are non-refundable 

  • Admission is at the customers’ own risk. The Walker Cricket Ground Trust and its affiliates will not be held liable for any loss, injuries or damages sustained at the event including damage, theft or losses to property.

  • Ticket holders should note that The Walker Cricket Ground Trust and their partners and other authorised persons may have film cameras present at the event. By entering the site and/or purchasing tickets, ticket holders consent to filming and sound recording (which may include you as a member of the audience) and its use in distribution (commercial or otherwise) perpetually and without any payment.

  • In case of emergency please follow instructions and directions from stewards, staff and/or other officials.

  • Strobe lighting may be in use during the event.

Further information

The Firework Display will take place in most weather conditions and will only be cancelled in the event that we are advised that it is unsafe to go ahead. In the very unlikely event that the event is cancelled, we regret that we are unable to provide a refund to pre-purchased tickets.

 

Your safety and security is important to us and every step will be taken to ensure that the event is run with this in mind. In order to facilitate the security, safety and comfort of all our patrons, the site reserves the right in its reasonable discretion to conduct security searches of persons, clothing, bags and all other items on entry and exit and to confiscate items which may cause danger or disruption to the event with no refunds (please note that we are not responsible for any prohibited items or other items that we deem inappropriate or unsafe that are confiscated). Please take the time to read through the following Event Restrictions & Prohibited Items. Copies of the Site Plan will be on display throughout the ground on the night of the event. Please take the time to familiarise yourself with our safety measures, emergency exits, first aid locations etc.

 

Event Restrictions - The following information sets out our policy on behaviour and restrictions as to what can be brought to the event.  This is designed to ensure the health and safety of all our patrons and your adherence to the policy will speed up the process on entry and ensure that everyone has a fun time at the event.
 

  • No Re-Entry
    There is no re-admission to the event after entry.  Please plan ahead.  Once you are in, you are in!

  • No Large Umbrellas, Golf Umbrellas or Parasols
    These are not permitted for safety reasons.

  • No Chairs, Stools or Seat Sticks
    This event is a standing only event and these items are not permitted for safety reasons.

  • Buggies/Pushchairs
    These are permitted but we would ask you to consider parking a buggy in a less densely populated area as in large crowds it may prove difficult to push a buggy and may cause a safety risk.  You may be asked to relocate a buggy if a steward deems it a safety risk.

  • No Animals
    Animals, with the exception of assistance dogs, are not permitted at any time on the day of the event.

  • Cigarettes and smoking
    We will not be selling cigarettes and there is no re-entry during the event so bring what you need for personal use only. Smoking cigarettes (or electronic cigarettes) is not permitted in the club building.  Please only smoke in the designated smoking area situated outside the club building and dispose of your cigarette butts responsibly.

  • Behaviour
    Illegal and antisocial behaviour will not be tolerated and will lead to ejection from the event.


Challenge 25
If you are lucky enough to look under 25, we may ask you to prove your age when entering the event or when attempting to buy alcohol as part of our Challenge 25 Alcohol Policy. Any one of the following is considered an acceptable form of ID:

 

  1. Passport (not a photocopy).  Foreign passports are acceptable if in a suitable condition and include a photograph.

  2. Full or provisional photo card driving license issued by the DVLA.

  3. Proof of Age Card – the card must be part of the PASS scheme and carry their hologram.


If you are under 18 you are committing an offence if you attempt to buy alcohol.  Similarly, anyone purchasing alcohol for someone under 18 is committing an offence.
 

Prohibited Items 
In order to facilitate the security, safety and comfort of all our patrons, the site reserves the right in its reasonable discretion to conduct security searches of persons, clothing, bags and all other items on entry and exit and to confiscate items which may cause danger or disruption to the event with no refunds (please note that we are not responsible for any prohibited items or other items that we deem inappropriate or unsafe that are confiscated).

The following is an example list (but not exhaustive) of prohibited items :

 

  • Large umbrellas

  • Chairs, stools and seat sticks

  • Dangerous or hazardous items

  • Flags, banners and poles

  • Glass (of any kind)

  • Fire or fireworks, Chinese lanterns

  • Bicycles, skateboards and scooters

  • Spray cans

  • Air horns, klaxons or similar items capable of making a loud noise

  • Laser pens

  • Gas canisters

  • Hand held communication devices, such as radios, radio jammers/scanners etc

  • Suitcase, large rucksacks/bags

  • Alcohol (save that purchased at the event)

  • Illegal substances & New Psychoactive Substances (legal highs)
